As a textile designer trained in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels, Aurélia Leblanc has mastered different hand-crafted skills: weaving, printing, silkscreen printing, and embroidery. Aurelia Leblanc’s activity rests on the creation of exceptional handmade weavings as well as exclusive patterns and prints for haute couture, luxury ready-to-wear and high-end furniture. Convinced that the handmade scale is the favorite innovation ground, she continuously experiments the marriage of fibers and savoir-faire. In each of her textile creations, the fibers she uses are traceable in terms of production. Through this societal and ethical commitment, Aurelia weaves ecological and technical fibers. In 2018 she received the Grand Prix de la Création de la ville de Paris, in the « Emerging talent for artistic professions ». In 2023 she is rewarded with the Liliane Bettencourt Prize pour l’Intelligence de la Main in the category Dialogues, for her work with Lucile Viaud on glass weaving.
